Kaiser_s0ze - Proceed with Caution

I purchased a DAS tank setup from this individual. I had emailed him several times asking questions about the condition of the tank and stand due to my living in Central Texas and him being in North Texas. I asked about scratches and leaks specifically, seal condition, age, etc. and also whether there was any other problems that I should know about.
Now in all fairness to this individual, he did respond to emails (before the sale) and also delivered the tank to me in Central Texas for a previously agreed upon price.
The problem is that there are multiple (5-6) deep scratches, some up to 8-9 inches long, towards the center of the front glass on this setup.
It arrived in need of major cleaning so the scratches weren't apparent until after I started to clean the tank (he had already left).
He had given me his cell phone number before coming to Austin so I attempted to call within 1 hour after he dropped off tank- no answer. I left voice mail and asked for a return call- didn't happen.
I called again the next morning as he was still in Austin (voice mail again) and explained that according to his ad, Tank 4 Sale tx , the tank had no scratches or leaks (again, I asked about this via email before making a deal) and that the scratches were a problem for the price I agreed to- not to mention that I wasn't told about them. Of course I haven't heard back. I did see pics of the tank before discussing a deal but the pics were from 3/04 - This should have been my first clue. I didn't get a specific answer about the scratches now that I reflect on the emails I received from this individual but all other questions were answered- red flag #2.
It's my fault that I paid him before I was able to confirm the condition was as stated, but not being up front about the condition when specifically asked about them is a real problem.

Learn from my mistake- unless you can confirm, in person, the product is as stated, I would pass on dealing with
Kaiser_sOze.

If he responds to me about these problems, I will keep all informed as I hope he will do the right thing.
