Questions about zoas

Hey guys, we're wondering if zoas need to be fed?

do they need to be acclimated?

Will there be a problem with clownfish?

Thanks!!!

they do not need to be fed they get all they need from light. yes they need to be acclimated and there should not be any issues with clownfish

They are the more easier coral. I do the bag accumulation by etting bag float 15 minutes then adding small amounts of the tank water to the bag .4 or 5 times in 20 or 30 minutes then turn main lights out for the rest of the day after you add. All zoos will accept small bits of frozen and some of my larger button polyps will accept larger food.
Not to say feed everyday as they will do fine with light and filter feeding but the beeter the light , flow , placement and feeding determains growth rate.
This may help and GL.

I have some zoa's in my tank. They do not need to be fed. They feed from the light..photosynthesis. I do however sprinkle some reef snow, etc so I don't know if they eat that.

I also have two clowns in my tank and they have had no ill affect on the zoo's at all.

As far as acclimation, I float the bag for 15 minutes. After that, I pour the bag into a container and put the zoo's in there. I let that sit for about 30 minutes. After that, I then add 1 cup of aquarium water every 15 minutes. I do that 3 times. After the third time, I let it sit another 15 minutes and then place in the tank.
