Looking for pics of a clean/minimalist looking tank. Has anyone done one?

As the title states, I am looking for pictures of tanks that look unbelievably clean and have that minimalist look to it. (not bare tanks that were set up last week)

These days all I am seeing is tanks stuffed full of rocks and corals, and i'd like to try something a bit different.

Can someone please post some pictures that could provide some inspiration?

Cheers!

Reminds me of that guy in the Keys involved in all that controversy last year .The barebottom inventor ? The pics of his tank were just what you are looking for. Somebody got them ?

A lot of BB tanks are this way. King-Kong and Leonardo's Reef come to mind, hopefully they will post their tanks. There are also some threads of asian reefs, some of which are minimalist, some of which are not.

I would say my tank is more minimalist (oxymoron?) than the average tank, here is a picture from a few months ago when it was doing much better:

This is the thread bonerfortuna was talking about... unfortunately it looks like the pictures are no longer there. You might have to look outside of RC.

Beautiful tank! I was actually thinking of something like that, with two islands, really nicely done.

Although alot of barebottom tanks go with the minimalist theme, i would never EVER go bare bottom, i really dont like the look...

Anymore pics people?

I found these pics, not quite as minimalist as i had hoped for, but amazing tanks anyway!

Does anyone know the scientific name for the cardinal fish in the last picture?

chelskisw6 wow thanks for posting those pics. I love the choice of soft corals and their placement. That's the look I am hoping to achieve.

yes, they are absolutely stunning tanks.

Im going to something similar, but hoping to keep as close as possible to the minimalist theme that i'm hoping to achieve.

Its an orange silk coral that is doing very well.

They are pretty hard to keep.

clean and minimalist to me means rimless with as little equipment as possible on show. I think invincibles tank certainly qualifies, it's really beautiful:

His blog is a great read, I'd highly recommend it if you're interested in this kind of thing:

Here are the last FTS shots of my tank before my home-made food contamination killed 1/2 my SPS.

I have changed my fish population since these pics. I no longer have the hogfish, bartletts, or clowns.

Instead, I have 7 apogon leptacanthus (threadfin cardinals, the ones seen up in the photos up above) and plan to get more. Beautifull little fish that make the tank seem much larger. I had tried 7 Dispar anthias, but most of them died (kind of mysteriously), leaving me with only 1.

Lost any?... how about 20!

Overall I had 20 die in order to get 7 that eat. Once they eat, theyre home free (I think../hope )

They are very very very very docile. and, in fact, other fish ignore them more than other fish! For example, my lineatus wrasse attacks my chromis from time to time, but he totally ignores my threadfins... no one seems them as any kind of threat.

That's usually what a reef tank consists of...
