Apparently it was good. I didn't make it over there; missed the whole thing.

Our local classic rock radio station has been reporting for a few weeks now that Led Zepplin is negotiating with large venues for a summer tour here in the States.

Stay tuned.

I had tickets for LZ in 1974. The show was canceled because Plant had strep throat. When they rescheduled - we were playing in the IL state basketball tourney and had our regional finals that nite. So I sold my ticket, thinking I'd cath'em later.

What i heard of the concert was PATHETIC! Page was all over the map and couldn't even seem to be bothered to sing half of the words. I think i'll stick with the studio stuff and remember them when they were good.

One godfather-like thing about those guys is their marketing strategy- they never really did TV; they avoided interviews; they'd play and then disappear. It's what they're doing now- they've just disappeared, allowing the hype and anticipation to build, driving their back-catalog sales (by 500 percent, the day after the concert), letting imaginations run wild while sitting back. Very clever.

If i tried that at work, I'd get fired....
