Quick Need Pump Help Now!
I filled up my tank with FW to test the plumbing, pumps, etc. My Mag Drive 12 was working well for the first few minutes but now it's stopped. The rotor isn't spinning so I know the pump's the problem. What should I do?!

Dry it and take it back to the lfs for a replacement. They are normally good pumps except for the heat issues.

I heard that they don't work well when you first start them up. Could this be the issue?

I had the pump in a verticle position, rather than a horizontal position as it is shown on the box. Do you think this made a difference?

We unscrewed the front and found that the white propeller shaft had broken. I emailed Marine Depot and will wait for answers from their technical service about the warranty.
