Water changes

Ok so for those that use a rather large container (ie. carbage can) to store their premixed saltwater how do you get the water then from the container to the tank when you need to do the water change?

So if i wanted to just be able to turn on a pump once done taking the water out for the water change, and have the water just pump into the tank from a container stored under the tank what type of pump would i need?

Depends on how patient you are MaxiJet 1200s would work for most tanks, or buy a cheap Mag3 or 5 for bigger/faster changes.

Actually isn't the maxijet 1200 295 gph? Unless there is a different version of the maxijet that's higher that I've yet to see.

Also, I just just have my pump permanantly in the garbage can to use for mixing my solution and then went to the hardware store and bought 30 feet of tubing to run from the tub and if I wanted to drain it I would take the pump and go straight to my drain. So, depending on how far to your nearest sink or draining pipe get tubing accordingly.

Ya the plan is to get a power head to mix the salt as well as to use to pump the water to the tank
