Rhomboid pair $400.
Lineatus pair $250.
Laboutei pair $220.

The condei that's going to kill them all off $25.

I'd sure lose the $25 Condei! Are you talking about a Condylactus anenome?

Unfortunately no. I added a pair of Rhomboids about 2 weeks ago. I did the acclimation cup trick for 3 days and everyone was ignoring the new fish. Released the rhomboids and the condei fairy wrasse went crazy. Would not leave the new wrasses alone. Hunted them all throughout the 150 even though he is half the size of the Rhomboid super male. I caught the condei but the damage was done. His aggression caused a massive ich outbreak. Not just the newcomers but every fish in the tank.

Now before you ask the ich could not have come from the new additions. They were QT'd at the LFS and treated with a range of meds. The massive outbreak started 5 days after introduction so the timng does not work. It must have been in the tank all this time even though I qt'd every fish(hadn't had any sign in almost 3 yrs.). Anyway learned a painful and potentially expensive lesson.

I have a nice Hawaiian Bandit Angle $500, two C. Tinkeri's, I think the first one was around $450, a pair of G. melatremus eels that usually run about $250 each. A trio of Hawaiian Flame Wrasses that was about $470. I don't have a pair fo Marjorie's Wrasse for $1,400, but I do know Marj who they were named after. Locally there was a pair for sale for $1,200. Here's a little story on that fish.
I just told Marj how much
her llittle fish is worth. They are probably right that it may be a
long time before anyone collects any more of them. That part of Fiji
is hard to get to, although C. marjorie is actually quite common up
there. So it's not that the fish is rare, but rather that the
location is hard to reach. Marj and I discovered the fish in 2000
and later Jack Randall, Gerry Allen and I described it in her honor.

C tinkeri care

C tinkeri's are very easy to keep. They will eat almost anything you put in. A lot of 'deep water fish' are like that, once they start feeding. I do keep my tanks on the cooler side, that is low 70's because we keep our house cool, 68-70 all year round. I don't know if I would call C tinkeri's reef save, I always joke about feeder corals for my fish. You should be able to get one from Old Town Aquarium in Chicago. They can put you name on a waiting list and call you when they get one. They get a lot of nice high end fish. Just like any other fish, you should quarintine and treat before you add to your tank.

there are plenty of people on this forum who keep them, but they all tend to be very modest about how much money they spend on their tanks.

Vanuatu Mystery Wrasse. Cost me a "C" note. God, its great to have friends in the right places. The best deal I ever had was the $40.00 Helfrichi. Sad to say, I only saw him for three days before he pulled a Houdini.

I fly out to Arizona from Michigan to pick up a fish ( 3inch Hawaiian Bandit Angel in 2004, when you add a plane ticket, rental car and hotel, that really makes the price of a fish go up.

What's your most exspensive fish?
Maybe a better question is, What do you tell your wife or husband when they ask, "what did that fish cost?"
