Question purple algae ? please help

I have some purpple slime or algae with air bubbles stuck to it,
and it seems to be spreding. Is it a good or bad thing .if bad how would I get rid of it please help thanking you in advance.

That's probably cyanobacteria, and such blooms are common in new tanks. How long has the tank been running?

You could siphon out the slime to help reduce the bloom.

the tank has been running for six months. would you know what
can be causing this .
