Powder Blue doomed?
I heard that Tangs like to eat vegetable related stuff.
But my Powder Blue won'y youch Frozen food. He doesn't go for the Nori sheet when it's in the tank. He'll SOMETIMEs pick at a yellow flake. But he'll pick at rocks ALL day long. And he'll gobble up LIVE brine shrimp like nobody's business. He just cost me over $40 in brine shrimp and equipment from brineshrimpdirect. Not to mention the pump, tubing and etc from the store. Will he eventually die from lack of nutrition or does the rock picking and live brine give him enough? |

How long have you had him? Sometimes it takes a while for them to feel comfortable and start eating. It took mine almost two weeks before he would even look at Nori. Now he's an eating machine, eating whatever I put in there. Give it time.

Yes, give him time. As long as he looks and acts fine, then he should be fine. I heard that brine shrimp weren't very healthy, maybe if you feed the brine shrimp some nori and then he'll your powder blue will eat them and get a little bite size nori snack lol.

Try the green Julian Springs sea veggies.
Also but some garlic guard in the frozen stuff. Mine goes through little spells where he wont eat frozen but will eat the greens. You can try putting the greens on the clip and shove it under the LR, this kind of makes him think its on the rock. |

He's been in the tank for just over a week. I made him the biggest so he wouldn't get picked on. =P
I use Garlic Guard every other day on my food. I've been feeding Formula 1 and 2, Spirnula enriched brine and some mysis. |

I wouldn't worry to much it took my clown tang over a month before he would touch nori. You should switch over to frozen mysis and try so macro algae on a clip with the nori behind it.
good luck |

Enrich the brine with selco and phytoplankton. I believe the brineshrimpdirect website tells you how to do this.

There is no Nori in the wild so it take a while to train them to eat Nori. I put Nori on a clip and keep this in the tank all day long, days after days. Eventualy he will find it and will not stop eatting until he is full or there is no Nori. If you have another fish in the tank that already eat Nori, this will help speed up the process greatly. You can see my fat Powder Blue below:
