Starting a new Probject - Looking to buy some stuff

I am starting up a breeder setup with my friend and figured I would post the items that I dont have to see like all other things in this hobby if people have them laying around and need them to sell.

So here are the list of things I need to buy -

2 x 20g Long tanks

1 - 35-40 gallon tank ( must be under 37 long x 12.5" wide )

Mag 12 or 18 ( would perfer a 12 but can work with a 18 )

Phosban Reactor ( and pump )

UV Ster - rated for 100+ gallons

Assorted plumping like vaules , joints

2 - Bulkheads

I will be attending the swap so can pick up items there.

I've got some 1/2" bulkheads if you need them.

Also, if you need any more bulkheads, locline, diamond hole saws, etc. glass-holes.com has great prices, great selection, and great service!

We are going to try our hands first with Perc Clowns as I have bred them before abut about 13 years ago but when things just were not the same.

This is going to be a pretty simple setup with one of the 20s as the breeding tanks and the other 20 being the larval rearing/ grow out tank.

We are only going to breed 1 or 2 rounds with them then off they go into the 100 reef tank and we will try with another speicies. Heck who knows maybe we will stick with the clowns and just sell them at half what the fish stores are selling them now days. ( just dont qoute me on the price :P )

We already have the mated pair in a 15gT tank and will be starting up the green water and rotifiller plants either at the end of the week or next just to get things going and to have the food ready for the youngens when they come.

If anyone is interested in doing something like this I highly suggest a book called

The complete Illustrated Breeder's Guide to Marind aquarium Fishes by Matthel L. Wittenrich

It contains setups detailed information on mating , spawning and rearing methods for over 90 species.

My wife got this for me for a xmas present and I have not been able to put it down , just an awesome read for sure. Ihave become so focused on corals in the past year this aspect of the hobby has completly excaped me and just really charged up to start this up.

The tanks will be connected via a 38g sump

Wow, man, sounds exciting! I think I'll eventually try this as well, but definitely when I have a house.

If you need those 1/2" bulkheads, just let me know.

I have 4... all brand new... $5 each. I think they're threaded both ends if I'm not mistaken.
