help white blobs appearing

I have noticed recently that some white blobs are groing on the
equipment and one of them is also on a rock. the one on the rock
is about 1inch in diamiter. I would like to know what these blobs are, if they are good or bad. what causes these blobs to appear.
and if bad what to do to get rid of these things.

your sponges probably wont look like those but it will show you the tube I was talking about

When you say "blobs"...are they flat or are they thick? A more detailed description or better yet, a photo, would help for sure. They may well be something that you don't have to get rid of.

That seems to be what it is...a sponge. Not a bad thing to have in your reef and removal is at your option. But, if conditions are right for them, they'll pop up now and then.
