Copper QT'ing

Is it ok to use Maracyn-two while using copper in your QT tank? Also is it ok to an ammonia detox chemical to help neutralize ammonia , will this have any negative effect on the copper?

Who's copper ?

Detox, no. It will make the copper more toxic. The the Cu+2 will be reduced to Cu+. Cu+ can be 10 times more toxic.

no dont use maracyn 2 while treating copper.

what symptoms are the fish showing? maracyn 2 is a fantastic product and should be used double the dosage it says. but in dimmed lighting and no other chemicals INCLUDING no hyposalinity

In general antibiotics don't react with copper .. I am unaware of any reason why Minocycline (Maracyn-two ) would have an adverse reaction with copper.
