Minimizing water changes?

What is the best way of minimizing water changes in a rearing tank (20G)?

I had a hang-on skimmer when i started the hobby few years ago but i kinda hated it Should I get one?

What is denitrificator that I hear people talk about?

My goal is to do the least amount of water changes as possible in this tank.

a denitrator is a purpose built filter which serves to consume nitrate in an artificially created anoxic zone, by anaerobic bacteria. hows that for the easy answer. it is the way of removing waterchanges, if its built correctly, and maintained. 20 is a small tank I'd recomend you buy one, the nitra-max unit is a well built unit, amoung others drsfoster .... usually carry it.
