Half-eaten Toadstool?

So late last night I noticed that my green-polyped toadstool had fallen into my hydnophora (or it had pulled it in with its sweeper tentacles). I moved the toadstool away from the hydno, and hoped that today the polyps would be back out and waving. As of this evening, there is still a large white patch where the tentacles were on the toadstool and the rest of the polyps are barely showing at all. Should I frag the white part off?

I'll try to get pictures tonight.
