By the way it is a lot easier to schedule tougher OOC games, for the PAC 10 or the Little 10 unlike the SEC because of the fact that you have rent a victims in the PAC 10 and Little 10 conferences, besides one or two teams that can actually play the game of football.

Pac 10 had 2 teams with loosing records this year. Half as many as the mighty SUC

And the SUC went 0-2 against the "little 10" in bowl game where the SUC team was favored so what does that tell you

STill Grim...your wack PAC 10 still went 3-3 in bowl games. Thats what you call AVERAGE.

SEC went 6-3 in bowl games. Pathetic.

Little 10 went 2-5...no need to commment about that.

GRIM your missing the point. FLA, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky and South Carolina won their bowl games. All these teams had winning records too during regular season. Pathetic.
And Grim, your PAC 10 only has one decent team and thats SC. But could they beat UCLA that got school by FLA ST.?

SEC is the best no doubt about that. We saw an example against OSU who was thought to be by far superior. OSU SUCKS.

SEC ROCKS. End of story.

Oh btw, sorry OSU fans. I guess OSU never got to beat three number two teams in one year. So much for that record.

At least we now know who is dominant in basketball and football. Thats right FLA. The best team.

Of course they do. It's another team with a losing record to get an easy win over.

Again, it takes 4 or 5 pages of repeating the same things on both sides before we dropped it. Side 1: SEC is great, SEC has best bowl record (except BE), FLA is great, Georgia is great. Side 2: SEC really didn't do too well against the B10, both of the teams that played in the NC game were different from the teams that had played the rest of the year, stats (like VT's defense) are warped by playing Sisters of the Poor, and so on and so on.

55, I've already said FLA deserved to win it. FLA's entire defense wasn't dominant so much as just the Dline. Everything bad for OSU on offense is easily traced to the Dline. Nelson didn't have any spectacular plays, the pick thrown by Smith didn't really change momentum a lot. When Smith had time to make a throw and made it on the money, the receivers caught it. I'll give FLA the Dline dominating, but the rest of the D didn't really dominate...they didn't show anything. Next year should be good for all the top teams this year, too. USC, UM, FLA, OSU, LSU, etc should return good teams.

Yeah, those OSU receivers were just running free the entire game. I wonder why was Troy Smith holding the ball so long every time he dropped back? Could it be that no one was getting open? I can also remember at least three plays where a throw was on the money, but a UF defender forced an incompletion (either knocking the ball away, or by leveling the reciever and jarring the ball free). The secondary (and LBs) played just as well as the DLine, it just wasn't as obvious watching on TV.

I LOVE watching a good defense, and this year's was the most impressive UF has fielded since Bob Stoops left. When they were motivated - and they are STRONGLY motivated by being told they were underdogs (see also: LSU game) - it was lights out.

I agree that Nelson wasn't a big factor in this game. The kid has had a rough couple of weeks, and I understand completely if he wasn't 100%. He and his mom were very close.

They may not have been running free the entire game, but the cover on the WRs wasn't near as big as the pass rush in stopping throws. Most of the time that Troy dropped back he didn't have enough time to check more than one or two receivers. I remember one pass where a defender leveled the receivers for an incompletion. They didn't really show anything on D, because there really wasn't a reason to. That doesn't mean that the rest of the D was really great or bad, just that they weren't really needed and, thus, not a factor.

There's another interesting thing with this season. OSU played against all three Thorpe finalists this year, in their 3 1v2 games. The DB wasn't really a big factor in any of the games.

The Dline was a force, but I remember a couple of plays that broke down because there was no one to throw to. I can tell you that with certainty, because I started getting nervous anytime we gave TS more than 3-4 seconds in the pocket without pressure.

I think EE leveled your tight end on one play in the 3rd, that may have been the only one. Other than that, TMac had an excellent pass deflection in the 1st qtr (and he is the nickel guy that typically got picked on this season), and I think it was Reggie Lewis (maybe Ryan Smith?) that had one on a 3rd down play later in the 1st half.

It's one thing to let people "think" your a fool but even worse when you open your mouth and let them "know" your a fool!!!!!!

Funny how the classy SEC folks are the ones who have nothing else to say but the classless ones just keep on going and going and going!!!!

Buddy stop making excuses. FLA's entire D KILLED OSU. THEY ONLY HAD ONE OFFENSIVE TD. And they were suppose to have the best offense in the nation? Give me a break. It was sad. The reason why Nelson didn't have any big plays because he hardly got the chance. Troy smith only threw like 14 passes and half the time they were thrown away or threw to a receiver that was heavily gaurded. 4 completions ECE. FOUR. There is nothing on the money about that. lol.

FLA definately deserved what they got.

I read that post just before you were going to make it but it really didn't make enough sense to understand what you were thinking about saying at the time you thought about posting it so it really never happened yet.

You mean the USC team that lost to unranked 7-6 UCLA, and barely ranked 10-4 Oregon State?

Probably would have been a better matchup personnel-wise, but they're not exactly world-beaters either...at least not this year.

lol. Good one Grim. You coulda put any team against FLA the 8th and still the same results would have happened. FLA was invincible that night.

ECE you changed your argument. Your last post makes sense now. Still, what happened to OSU going to beat FLA?

Give me a break Grim. BSU would have got it worse than OSU. BSU barley got passed OU and was lucky they did. Besides, BSU plays in sorry conference where its EASY to go undefeated. But of course you know all that so I don't have to explain any further or do I?
