Of the 5 PH I have I have 4 of them on a timer with the actinics. When they go off the PHs go off to. All my corals seems happier and plus if you have ever been to the ocean it is real calm at night is not rough like it is during the day. So I try yo simulate that.

I for one do not reduce my flow at night, even tho my Tunze controller gives me the option to.

Any more reefers have any input. I'm trying to decide if it is worth it or not to buys timers for my power heads in order to reproduce this night simulation. Please respond to my above question.

I run mine on a wavebox that has a night mode. I don't think it can hurt, but obviously isn't necessary.

I only turn off PHs when spot feeding, otherwise on all the time.

I think that cutting your flow will lower O2 in your tank.
