Savko Ball valves experience needed
Has anyone bought the black savko ball valves? They are only $2.54 for the 3/4" I'd like to save some money with these instead of buying the ones that are 16.00.
If you have them how easy do they turn? are they good enough to adjust the flow on closed loop outputs? I don't know if the link will work but they are the 2nd valve down from the top. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks http://www.savko.com/partlist.asp?pgid=1 |

I've got a few ball valves on my system, they are touchy but probably good enough to control a CL outlet. Also, they arent a whole lot more at HD and you wouldnt have to wait for them to come Hope this helps.

TUBVs at bLowes work for me. Dab a little bit of food safe grease on moving parts before installation helps.

I usually open and close the valve like 50times to loosen it up before I install it. the food grade stuff is a good idea, I need some for my orings anyways.

Ya, I used to do that too. They can get pretty stiff if you don't. I had one that I left in service for so long it almost didn't move. Thought I was gonna break the PVC.
