Anyone have a Rio Nano skimmer?

I can't get it to skim. It's been running since the 14th.

Any clues on how I can make it work?

I've had one on my Minibow 7 for about three weeks. Initially, it was pretty loud and wouldn't skim. The bubbles in the neck fizzed like soda, but wouldn't collect. Taking it out and washing it didn't help so I just let it run and observed it over a period of a week. All I can say is one day before lunch it wasn't skimming and when I came back it was, so I'm thinking these things can take a little over a week to build up a bio-layer inside that allows them to work. The sound also diminished and/or I got used to it and now I'm adjusting the water flow and air to get it just right. I did put a little piece of airline tubing with an air valve over the venturi tube to make the adjustments easier. It really wouldn't have been any fun if it had worked right out of the box.

Mine came with nearly zero instructions. I'll wait some more.

The pump on it died last night. I'm trying to look around to see if I can replace it.

No Luck, has anyone had problems dealing with Rio? It's past the 21 days, so I'm going to have to deal with them.
