Buying/Selling/Trading/WTB Posting Tips

Since this is an informal regional forum, and we want information to be shared as efficiently as possible, here are some posting tips:

1. Always provide a clear description and your location in the Subject line of a new thread.

2. If you started the thread, please refrain from bumping your own thread as it is annoying to people that have subscribed to the thread.

3. If you are interested in following the thread, please use the Subscribe to This Thread box at the bottom of each page. You will automatically get an email when someone has posted (or bumped) the thread.

4. If you want to know more about the item and you think that your question and answer should be best handled publicly via the thread (and thereby emailed to everyone that has subscribed) feel free to post to the thread. However, if your question and/or comment is really specific; or, you start to negotiate price and terms, please use Private Messages, or email, to close the deal.

5. The person who started the thread should post an update when the item is no longer available.

6. When possible, it's always helpful to provide a picture. See this thread for how to do it for free. http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...hreadid=531326

7. When posting threads about livestock, please provide as much information as you can about the animal (including scientific name if possible), how long you have had it, and under what conditions (e.g., lighting, water flow, etc.) you have kept it. The more information you are able to provide the better the chance that the next person will be able to properly take care of it.

8. All postings must be within the bounds of the Reef Central Users Agreement http://www.reefcentral.com/agreement.php

Best of luck,

Roy
