Got red rics, let's see 'em!

I'm really wanting to pick a single polyp up of something red, just can't seem to find an acceptable price on these.

Anyone have 'em?

I've never seen Floridas that are red, but have seen Yumas. Very expensive though.

red ricordea yumas on here, depends on what your definition of reasonable price is. I just bought a red from them for $140 but it is nice.

Hey Bryan, your online store is open again. Yay! So, is that AWESOME red ricordea yuma for sale or part of your personal stock? Got any true yellow florida rics? Sorry, I guess I should have asked that in the yellow ric thread, oh well. Got anymore red ric pics? I think I might have a pic of mine, let me look...

That red yuma is not for sale. I sold it awhile back. I try not to post anything online that is for sale on the site.

Well to open the age old debate again, here we go. I have said this several times and will continue to until proven wrong. THERE ARE NO TRUE YELLOW OR RED FLORIDA RICORDIA.

Florida ricordia come in three basic colors, Orange, Blue, and Green. Ok maybe 4 if you count Brown. Now what you get is a cobination of colors like orange with blue rings and stuff like that. You get dark orange and light orange, you get dark blue and light blue.

No matter how bad someone wants another color to exist, IT DOES NOT. So buyer beware. Buy a red Florida if you want but enjoy your orange one when it arrives. Buy your yellow florida if you wish but enjoy your green one or light orange one when it arrives.

Bryan you could'ent be more wrong, i guess you don't see as many variations as i do but to say there are only three colors is just absurb. There are pics of pink Fl rics allover these posts. Lavender and blue are not the same color & orange is a derivative of yellow. You should check your supplier mybe they can get you some of the harder to get colors.

Donovan,

You are wrong. I have seen more ricordia in my 19 years of selling it then you could ever dream of selling. Just call a spade a spade my man. Lavender is a shade of blue. Your rare yellow are no more than light orange with a photo taken under halides. Just sell quality ricordia and quit trying to tag colors that do not exist.

I am sure you are not too far out of grade school so lets see if you can name your primary colors? Go ahead lets see if you can?

Yellow, red & Blue with all other colors are made. Bryan i understand your frustration but no need to attack my knowledge i mean you live in Indian & i live and dive in Florida. Take a trip down it's nice this time of year.

Anyone want a Rare Yellow Ricordia? Hurry!!

Well don't look to hard for them because they were SOLD as ORANGE ricordia.

Donovan,

I did not make this personal, you did by calling me out and saying I was wrong. So post your yellow and red and lets start a poll to see what color people think they are.

I am glad you dive and live in Florida. I too have been there but what good does that do for you. I hope your ricordia are not from the Florida waters?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it is legal to collect ricordea florida, right? So long as it's not on live rock, Donavons collection from Florida is entirely legal.

Thank you, yes you can harvest polyps as long as no rock is involved. I would never even think of touching the rock down here. The hurricanes have done so much damage to the reefs it really sucks.

DonavonsReef, the pic of the ric is see it's orange not red.
Compare your pic of your ric and the pic of Brayn red yamu.
I mean it does not even come close to been red.
