Drawing holes on Tank before I drill What kind of marker

What kind of marker do people use to sketch out holes? I don't think a sharpie would work since its permanent? Or will it come off with a certain cleaner?

I've always used a black crayon. Water proof and will just rub right off. You can also use a wax pencil for the same reason.
