Unhappy Purple Tank

Got home this evening and saw that my Purple Tang has a problem. The front part of him from his mouth to below his eye to the bottom is white. I have had it about 2 years so its maybe 3 years old. Tank conditions are normal. Any ideas what it is? It was fine yesterday. Thanks

I added pics of it to my pics. Could it had gotten into my bulb anemone and gotton stung? I had feed it just a short time before I notice my tang.

Probably developing HLLE.

Do a little research.. see what you can find. Tangs are susceptible to this by mal-nutrition.

Got home today from work and it was fine. Looks normal. Not sure what caused it.

Based on the pics - I doubt it is HLLE.

could have been an abrasion from a rock. I had that happen numerous time with no seen ill effects in the long run. As long as you keep your feeding regular and supply lots of nori, you should be ok.

I have actually seen this on my yellow. white lines where his pores are for his lateral line and other sensory pores. It could be from stress but thats just a guess.

similar to this. Mine does that from time to time. One day white and the next day his is all back to normal. I've had mine about 2 years as well.

My PT shows similar markings (fading) around his head whenever he is startled or stressed. I've noticed it several times when I recently have been working in the tank alot. Always totally gone by the next morning.
