Which u/water housing?

Hey guys my wife just bought me a new Nikon coolpix 7600 and I have been searching the net cuz I want to get a underwater housing for it and from the info I gathered there are two different manufacturers of the housings for this camera one is Ikelite which they are very expensive and the other I dont know the name of the manufacturer but the two models I get are

WP-CP3
and
WP-CP4

the two models above are reasonable on price and I want to purchase the correct caseing for this camera but I get mixed reviews on which case goes with this camera. Does anyone know for sure? Also if you know of a place thats cheaper than $218 for this housing let me know that as well

Thanx

the WP is manufactured (or at least licenced and sold) by Nikon. The Ikelite cases are 3rd party. Given the choice I would take the Ikelite, they're v high quality and are rated to a much deeper depth than the nikon case.

However, depending on your needs i'm sure the Nikon case would be fine.

Yeah I realize the Ikelite is a higher quality caseing and I can go deeper. But I really dont plan on doing any picture taking deeper than 30' anyway. My days of deep diving are pretty much over Thanx for the reply

the only thing more expensive than a good housing is buying a second camera due to a housing flood

I would go with the Ikelite

Well, the 7600 is not all that pricy of a camera anyways.... I'd go with the cheaper housing if you're not planning on using it much.

And hey, if it floods, you have a good excuse to get a new camera.

Ikelite housings are the best on the market, but they often cost more than the camera body itself - for a reason.
