An Awesome Day In My Tank
Okay well today was an awesome day in my "tank". First off my dad is looking at the tank and was like "Oh my god I just saw a worm", I'm like calm down, what did it look like, and looked some common hitchiker worms up online. He couldn't identify it. So we decided to take the rock out and put it in some freshwater to get the sucker out. My dad did it while I left and I came home and he showed me what was in it, there were five of them, and he had put them on a napkin. He said the second he put it in the freshwater, they came out of the rock and soon later died. I looked closer and guess what.. they were beneficial amphipods!!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOO!!! They were smaller then an inch and looked exactly like the ones I've seen pictures of.
To top that off, I'm looking in the tank, all excited to see some more, and guess what I see. MY MALE CLOWNFISH DOING THAT "Mating" Jitter thing when they look like they get shocked by electricity real fast. YES!!! My pair might mate soon, YES!! I have a question, what does the male jitter mean. I remember reading about it before, but I can't remember what it said. Also my female clown was looking all around the sand, looked like she was looking for a spot to lay something.. *hint* hint*

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit! |

I had a male Maroon once that had no choice but to be submissive. That female would beat the krap out of him on impulse.
