wondering if a slowflake eel would be a bad idea for a reef tank.

The eel might eat your inverts. you will need good filtration and big skimmer. The eel will be heavy on the bio load. How big of a tank do you have?

ive thought about getting a small snowflake to keep in my 25 gallon tank in my dorm room. I will be moving out next year and plan to upgrade to at least a 65. How much of a bioload will one of these produce? Ive got a remora so im overskimming at the moment.

it would be ok in a reeftank with inverts that are present at the moment of introducing the eel into the tank. Any other additions after the eel has been added would be seen as lunch (as far as inverts are concerned). I would recommend a 90 gallon reef tank to accomodate this eel and all the reef together.

i dont think eels really do care about what is established in a tank... i think they will kind of eat things as they please... a 90 would be a good size to start, but iwould say a 6 foot 125 or something would be better in the end.
