Exclamation Ever Heard Of "The Georgia Guide Stones"?

I have always felt that it was strange if not WRONG that you don’t see signs on buildings saying 'Merry Christmas' this time of year any more. I don't know how many times I've seen other "politically correct" terms used like happy holidays ... and you've got to love 'Merry Xmas'.

A manger can not be placed on display on ANY public property nor can ANY Christian symbols or anything resembling one.

I can not apologize to anyone for my words above when something like this is erected on public property.

The Georgia Guide Stones:

This is what it says in EIGHT different languages:

1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

I just have to ask ... what is this?

IBTL

Gad, it would be a shame if some patriotic redneck was to drive a large truck over that thing one night

Aliie i think the thing everyone gets so upset about is the other 10 arn't diffrent than any laws already on the books but we can't show them so we have to write new pc ones.

Kind of like how the 10 Commandements are sort of common sense, "I'd feel guilty doing that anyways" "laws"

Steve, do you own a truck?

Okay, I can understand and accept that Drauka. My point is that some people can't follow the other ones written the way they are so if it's written this way and they get it what's the big deal?

I didn't see the writings as a PC version myself.

Did you mean to word it that way? You really don't mean that the "other" version cannot be displayed because some people must murder, steal, cheat on their SO, etc., did you? Even if you take the religious aspects out of the "other" version, they are still good rules to live by and societal norms.
