Angry Oh, God! Now its milk...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071219/...y_childhood_dc

You know, at some point, the public at large will start treating all medical studies as "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" and all of them, regardless of how important or factual, will be ignored.

What's next? A study that finds that eating a diet too rich in vegetables will cause cancer? The number of cancer diagnosis seems to be rising, but I'm wondering if it is really nothing more than our increased knowledge and ability to detect cancer? Kind of like how the media over-hyped a couple of kidnappings a couple of years ago, to the point that many people thought that there was a kidnapping epidemic going on.

A new study found that 99.6% of all studies only reach a controversial or interesting conclusion so the studior can apply for a new grant to fund a study of his previous study so he can afford to study the babes for 2 months every year on his Alcopoco trip for a study siminar

Be careful out there. A new study has determined that life can cause death.

I have been to Canada, and I have experienced the bagged milk. They fit into a pitcher shaped to accommodate the bag.

I hear that 100% of people suffering from fatal illnesses have consumed as little as 1 cup of water in the month perceding diagnosis... Be safe out there!

I dont drink milk. Yuck. Humans are the only animals that drink the milk of another species (other that cases where mother animal has adopted another animal), and we are the only animals that drink milk after nursing.

Yes, we do drink milk from a bag in Canada. Like what has already been said, we place it in a pitcher like plastic thing and cut the corner off to pour it out. One bag is approximately equal to one litre, and you get two in a larger bag. You can also get milk in a carton though which is what my family always did.

We're also the only animals to cook our food, just because we're the only does not make it inheritantly bad.

And I agree Aliie, humans were never meant to drink the milk of another animal and certainly were not meant to drink it as late into life as so many people do. I don't think I've had a glass of milk for enjoyment in 15 years. I only drink a couple sips now and then if I've got heartburn that won't go away.

I should mention that milk also comes in cartons up here in Canada.

And, for the OP, yes, there have been studies that indicate that too many vegetables can cause cancer. Seriously. Beta carotene has been linked to prostate cancer. This does worry me, seeing as how I'm vegan, and I eat a ton of carrots and squash, which are both high in BC.

I think it was the great researcher George Carlin who first discovered that swallowing small amounts of saliva over a lifetime can cause cancer.
