Oceanvisions Black sticker for back of tank??

Has anyone used the Oceanvision http://www.aquaricare.org/category.html?UCIDs=414801

sticker type material for the back of their tank.

I would like to black out the back and was wondering if anyone has used this.

Does anyone know if you can get it locally or can something similar be used for a glass tank?

Thanks!

It just seemed to me to be something I'd have to fidget with down the road. I paint the back of my tanks with Krylon Fusion. Seems to 'bond' well, no bubbles to look at, doesn't delaminate, etc.

I'll fairly close to where they're located (NY) so I'll ask around and see if any of the club members around here have it on thier tanks or have an opinion.

If you want a black background, just go to Tap Plastics.

They sell a thick black sheet that is easy to cut and attach with tape. One side is glossier than the other.

I went to their website, I think this is the product. When you go into the stores, it's by the poster stuff. http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=258&

Best of luck,

Roy

I've used the Oceanvision backings before on my freshwater planted tanks. They work way better than the typical backing you see. It's sticky and you use a mild soap solution to apply it. Once it's on, just use a credit card or something flat to flatten it out.

I don't think its static cling, as you use a mild soap to get it to stick.

Oh well, thanks for check Gresh!

Let me know if you are ordering. I might want to try it out on my tank. I'm just not sure how I will get back there. I have an eight foot tank and a short arm.
