octopus skimmer?

ok so ive bein looking for a skimmer and i came across a octopus 200 for like $240 i mean i thought this was a little cheap for a skimmer but its seems that a lot of people have these and like them a lot and it recomended a lot. im mean is this a good skimmer cuz it just seems to good to be true???

Thats not a good deal unless its a recirc'd nw200. Stock they are pretty decent, if you do a few simple mods they are great. You can still buy they for 179bux at www.diyreef.com well they have two left anyhow.

Is it a recirculating 200 or just the regular nw200?

premium aquatics has the new extreme octopus skimmer, marinesolutions does also but they don't look the same as the other online pics.

The extreme skimmer has a bubble diffuser as the main functional upgrade.
That is why they are not that much more expense than the normal recirculating skimmers. Should only be $15 more or so unless somebody is unloading old stock.

No, the extremes are brand new skimmers. They are powered by a sicce pump that claims over 22 lpm of air.

You are correct I was thinking about the Premium not the extreme. Sorry about that.

those are msx skimmers, different than others, thereefstop.com and premium aquatics carry the octopus skimmer premium line made by coralvue and are a little different. We find out tomorrow i got the extreme int nw150 getting delivered tomorrow
