I want a clam

What sort of clams could I keep without going to metal halide lighting? I am sure I could manage a Tridacna squamosa without any problems, but I am looking for something a little more colorful.

from your sig i see your tank has been running since aug 07. i would wait at least 6 month before getting a clam. with your lighting you may be able to get a Derasa but your tank is very deep and with your lighting it would have to be very high in the tank

I don't know man. I never had much luck keeping clams under pc's. I would definately not try a crocea or a maxima. Maybe a deresa but I am still very biased against pc lights.
