Powder Blue destroying my softies

My P/Blue, whilst being a beautifull fish is a nightmare. He's eating my softies to oblivion.

I keep a constant norri supply for him and am feeding regularly and he'll eat anything. When there's food on the go he turns into a REAL BULLY and chases my Idol unmercifully. Yet other times they swim about together quite the thing.

I think I might have got a "bad" fish. I'm severely tempted to catch him (if I can) and trade him in. But he's a great specimen, settled in immediately (about 2 months ago) has great colour and is really responsive.

Anyway thought I'd ask you experts for ideas before I take that drastic step.

Thanks

There are always a few that make the exceptions. Mine doesn't bother any corals and is a model citizen except for being an occational bully. Try feeding it more meaty foods like brine and mysis etc....maybe that will replace it's taste for softies.

My wife gave me the most beautiful PB I have ever seen but he is a real bastard when it comes to eating my softies. He ate one half of my softies before I discovered Norri,I now buy it at oriental food stores in 12 x 12 sheets of 100 or so. I see you are using norri try more they are pigs. My PB basically keeps away from my corals now except for the corals on the end of the tank where the food clip is he picks at the corals near the clip. He is beautiful and if I had a fish only system he would be in there. Basically feed more to satiate him. Oh, at first I used garlic to attract him to the norri. Good luck! Michael Richards

I feed my PBT something everyday. Whether its nori or pellets or macro, it has to eat. Its a real pig. I'm sure if I had softies in this tank it would munch on those too.

I had the same problem. Great fish for 3 years then decided to eat all the leathers. Sadly had to get rid of him.
