Spaceing rics
Do you know if a rock is covered with rics if it will slow down growth since they are so close?

Yuma or Florida?
Not really unless they overlap and shade each other. In this case, you will need to frag them apart so they get enough light. I've had many rics bleach because of shading from overgrowth of others. Solitary ones normally shows the best growth with sufficient light (Different requirements between yumas and floridas though). |

Of all the florida species I've seen I think it looks absolutely stunning when they crowd each other since typically you can't tell that it's more than one ricordia other than the fact there might be an outline because the rim is a different color than the main body. Of course I've never personally experienced this, just have seen it from the wonderful pictures everyone here posts
