(Dialup beware) Probably my last tank pics....

....before filling the new 115g with water, that is!!!

So I finally caught the last of my trio of Bartlett anthias. Loved 'em, but they just needed too much food for my little tank, even with a 5ft 4" diameter CC needle wheel skimmer

Only one acro survived the onslaught of extra nutrients, but all else is doing well. 3+ year old tank, DSB, fuge with chaeto.

Anyways, enjoy the pics. Questions and comments welcome.

And some closeups:

Branching hammer (started as two heads)

Galaxia looking shrooms

Gorgonians (both same species)

Purple shrooms overtaking brain (gonna have to take the razor blade to 'em soon)

Small green skirt zoa's

Small pink dot zoa's

Only surviving acro (photo from top)

Medly of stuff that just appeared on this rock (none of it was placed there on purpose)

Thought I'd add a pic of the new tank....assuming all goes well, it should have water in it next week

My fish are salivating looking at it....

*whistles* that new tank is going to be GORGEOUS, very nice! Nice pictures, everything looks really happy. When they go from their current home into the new tank they won't know what hit 'em!

Last weekend some friends and I mapped everything out. I bought any remaining necessary odds and ends today at HD and Harrington Plastics. Next weekend we'll be covered in PVC shavings and high on PVC cement fumes

250W DE PFO minipendant with icecap eballast. 14K Phoenix bulb. I'll have two of these on the new tank.

Your little tank is very colorful and neatly aquascaped. Sad to see it go.

It's not pretty, but works great. You know, I think every reefer should try making their own skimmer. Believe me, I'm not a super DIY kind of guy. But you learn SO much about how they really work, and what it means to fine tune them.

Naw, she was my first fish....always very healthy (I'll refrain from the word happy). Just hoping that her growth isn't actually stunted, but just slowed. It'll be very interesting to see if her growth takes off in the new tank, or if she stays small. I figure it's the former, since I'd think that if she was actually stunted, perhaps she would have gotten the adult color pattern (ie the palette actually connecting). Anyways, it'll be very interesting to see what happens.

That'll be OK, since she's the only "big" fish I'm planning for the tank. Maybe a geniacanthus angel too...we'll see.

Going to LA this weekend, so didn't want to fill it, then leave. But almost all the parts and pieces are done (just have to find a place for the Neptune Jr). Will fill it next week (wanna come over in case I have to empty it really fast )

Here are some recent pics:
