really weird hitchhiker

i got rock from the local lfs. no idea where it came from but im buying rock at a lfs in florida instead of california so the hitchhikers i find out here have bound to be different. i already noticed a different kind of sponge i havent seen before thats little white tubes and colonial.

the really creepy one though is what looks like a vein of worms

it crawls across the sand or crawls across live rock. theyre dark brown and create a tree or vein like pattern over whatever theyre climbing on such as the glass and when you hold a magnifying glass to it you see its made up of millions of worms. its really creepy.

i keep hoping as i add fish ill find one that likes them and eats them or ill add some other hitchhiker over time that will eat them. i just hope they dont multiply out of control cuz that would be really creepy.

has anyone seen this before?

it doesnt photograph well-- the tree/vein like structure but i could take pics if it would help identify it.

I have never seen anything like that either, have you posted this in Dr. Ron's forum?

Just start a new one there. If anyone knows what that is, he would.

Its a good idea to have a refrence sample for alk test kits. 1.1350 grams of baking soda in 1gallon of distilled water=10dkh. Check your alkalinity test kit!
