Question Refugium lighting

I have been running my fuge light 24/7.

Recently went to a LFS and was talking to a guy, and he said I should run my fuge light on an inverse cycle as my tank lights.

I don't really see the benefit of that...

So what is the best light cycle for a fuge?

2 benefits... When you run your lights, ph goes up so, if youu have it on areverse cycle... it could keep your ph stable and 2nd... pods need night too.

Ditto on the pH stability. If you dont have a pH monitor you dont realize how much it swings. Reverse lighting helps this. Everything needs rest also.

Gman Test your tank right before the lights go on, and right before they go out. You'll see a difference. If not get a new test kit.

I would not run the refugium light 24/7 as it slows the growth of the macro algae. I run my light to be off when the tank lights are on. Fairly easy with timers.

My pH fluctuates less then .1 daily.
