Nem in peril

So over the course of the day my green bubble tip walked 30" across the tank and seemed to have climbed up onto the intake of the MJ900 which is on a timer so it goes on 15 minutes every hour. The Nem is sucked into the intake strainer attachment.

What should I do? Take the attachment off and see if it crawls out. Leave it attached and wait for it to crawl out.

I did unplug the powerhead so it wouldn't get more sucked in.

Help?

Nem was an occupant in the wife's tank. Which, well see title.

Pic from a few days ago.

if you can take the strainer off without risking any of the nem getting pulled, i would pull it off. if not, take the whole thing and put it on the tank floor.

is that color flash-washed or is it that color? looks very bleached. how long have you had it? what kind of lights do you have?

just keep water stable, it should crawl out on its own if its ok.

then proceed to nurse nurse nurse, then cover your intakes!

Nem was bleached when I got it, but not as bad as the pic. Had it for 8 days and counting (hopefully)

It is in a 20g long with a 150w HQI. There is a 20g sump. Fluval 304 cannister, Remora Pro Skimmer, refugium. I do weekly 10g WC's.

Used the tank as a frag tank for the last year but with all the rock in there. Setup a 65g and moved all the corals and fish. Currently the tank holds the two baby clowns, the nem, a peppermint shrimp and a sun coral. Tank has been running just over a year so is kind of working on being established.

Haven't tested water for a week, but every week when I do test results are always good.

I removed the intake cover and can see part of the tips ocoming through the strainer.

Hopefully it will recover. Wish there was something more I can do.

Hopefully this will help in the future. It seems to be out and about and O.K. Lucky I guess.
