Flame Pygmy + Lyretail = Diaster or Co-Exist

Like the title explains I have a 75 gallon almost reef and I have a BlackSpot Lyretail Angel, Foxface Lo, two percula clowns, a chromis anda sixline. I want to see another medium sized fish in there and I saw that flame pygmy's are your best chances for non coral eaters and in one of my previous posts someone said that a centopye( excuse the pathetic spelling) and a lyretail will not fight, but aside from new tank resident scuffs will the flame and lyretail co-exist?

I'd love to help you out but I can't because I've never kept any Centropyge and Genicanthus together in the same aquarium.

These fish occupy totalling different territories in the wild. Geni's are planktivores so they spend most of the time up in the water column whereas pygmy's are grazers and spend most of their time amongst the rock work. With that being said, a 75 gallon does not afford a lot of room to create a true open water/reef habitat but flames are generally pretty mellow so you probably will be fine.
BTW - Is the Lyretail a male or female?

I had my female Blackspot for about a year and then I got my Flame Angel. The Blackspot chased the flame pretty intensly in the beginning. She would only chase it into the rocks and then stop. But the Flame would go into the rocks and then pop back out from another spot. This only lasted about a week. It's been about 4 - 5 months and she doesn't even bother the Flame at all. You should be fine.

I was asking because I have experienced the same thing with the females. They can be a little territorial if they have had a chance to establish themselves.

Alright thanks so expect some fighting, but not too much. Hey triggerfish beautiful trigger. I have another question for you. What you think about a Pink Tailed Trigger in a reef tank with inverts.
