penductors
I have a 120 show tank(48 by 24 by 24) and a closed loop system with a sequence reeflo dart with 4 outlets into the tank at 3/4 in each, and dont seem to be getting as much flow as i thought i would.... would penductors help?

I have heard they need to be on a HH pump that pushes like 4800gph @ 23ft... is this true?

I dont have any but have done some research on them. First off, yes they do work. You can get them for abour $25 a piece. I think you should probably only use two of them though on your setup. You need at least a couple of psi a piece for them to function correctly.

No, it'll be terrible running off a Dart even driving a single .30'' orifice penductor (the smaller one of the two low profile models). The flow that will come out of it will be a very thin and bad. The pump will need to be able to pump adequate liquid at 10psi (23 ft of pressure) to drive them correctly.
I previously ran 3 penductors with .30'' orifice on my 210G with a Sequence Uno Marlin. The flow was very good but a little too violent near the penductors, so i switched over to a Hammerhead with many outputs instead. |
