The Black Durgon Trigger
Does anybody know how big the Black (Hawaiian) Durgon Triggerfish grows? It's been said that they grow to 10", but it has also been said that this is a large growing Triggerfish, and too big for the home aquarium.

Yea, they tend to grow slower in captivity. I have been diving with them before on numerous occasions. In my experiences they have a great personality and they do get to be a pretty good size. The cool thing about them is that they school together. I have seen them 20 at a time cruising around. Pretty sweet fish.

mine is 10-11 in long & he's a complete whimp....
I have seen then 14-16 in long but that's how big they were when caught. He's definantly a slow growing fish but he has great colors & a even better attitude! I have a 260G & unfortunantly it's only 6ft long. Definantly to short for a large trigger but a larger tank is in the works. When they get 8+ in I feel they need a tank 8ft long as a minimun |

Durgon
My Black Durgon is 5", and he dominates all of my other Triggers. Here is a list of the Triggers that he dominates. Clown, Undulate, Assasi, Picasso, Niger, and Bursa. He also does very well in jocking for position with my 8" Grouper.
