Whats a good skimmer in the $150-250 for a 180G to be placed in a 50G sump?

A g3 is about it. Maybe a used AquaC EV-180?

I think the G3 would be fine. I have an EV-180 and it does well on a 180, but it is above your price range.

I don't own a Euroreef or an ASM but from what I have read, the Euroreefs are rated conservatively and the ASMs optimistically.

If you do get an EV-180, don't go with the Mag7. Get one of the other recommended pumps or a Mag9.5 w/ a ball valve to control flow.

If it were me, I would get a used EV-180. You can get good deals on them sometimes.

Only problem with the EVs is they require alot of adjusting to get them working correctly. I finally got mine adjusted correctly. Of cource after I ordered my RC135.
