"Algae Magic"

Hello,
I want to ask if someone has tried this product "Algae Magic" of Marc Weiss.
I want to use it because I have a lot of hair algae and I mean a lot... so plz can you say surely that this product will make the hair algae disapear.

Never heard of it. I am not a big fan of magic potions either. Water changes and a good protein skimmer is the way to go. If you get your water from a store, consider getting your own water filter. I had a big problem with it too. Since I started doing that, mine has started to go away.

Aviad,

Even if this product kills hair algae, the algae will die, decompose, and release the nutrients they have accumulated into their biomass back into the aquarium. To rid yourself of hair algae I would recommend controlling nitrates and phosphates. Have you considered adding a chaetomorpha / Caulerpa refugium? Running iron hydroxide phosphate removers like phosban has helped me some with my algae problems. Of course lots of water changes with RO/DI or another type of pure water will help. Are you currently using purified water to mix your saltwater and topoff with?
