Help on dripping kalk.?

I've decided to start a kalk drip into my tank. I have a bucket of kalk that came w/ my current setup. I've made up a drip container, I just wanna make sure i'm doing it right. The main thing i'm worried about is if i'm putting to right prt of the mix in there. Can someone give me a quick run down on the right way to do it?

You can dissolve up to about 2 level teaspoons of calcium hydroxide per gallon of fresh water that you add to it. You might start at half that and see what it does for alkalinity and pH (calcium will be slow to move).
