Its amazing the number of different color combinations these corals have. I am new to Acan's, have three colonies this one is the largest.

Waiting on a mother colony at the LFS to get fragged again that is pink/red

For those of you who have kept them for awhile, what is the average growth rate?

It all depends on the acan. I have some that pops out 2-3 babies a month and others that pop out six or seven a month.

I'm going to be picking up some new acans this weekend can't wait. I was just over at jim's at eyecatchingcoral, and all I can say is wow!!! He had some tremendous colonies. I'm lucky to only live 20 minutes away. I'll post some pic's once I pick up my pieces. If you get a chance check out his web site.

I'm almost ashamed to post my photo after seeing all the ones that have come before! Shockingly beautiful! But I AM quite proud to have rescued these from near-death. They were bleached completely white, translucent and not eating:

Becareful of posting website links the mods are getting real strict on it. I would edit that and just post their pics.

It's too late now to do an edit. You have an hour to edit your post before you are locked out from editing. There's an Edit/Delete indicator/icon that you can click. It's right next to the Gallery icon above your actual post.
