Exclamation ***?? Clam ID??

well ok, so I just bought a Nano like three days ago and purchased 4 pounds of live rock to help cycle the tank, right. So I am checking stuff out and what not then all of a sudden one of my rocks started moving?? At first I thought nothing of it then I see that the rock has a crack on it... then when i went in for a closer look the rock shut closed??? that's when I noticed that my rock on top of the live rock isn't a rock at all it's some type of clam?? Now I know you people are going to ask for a pic of it but don't worry I will get a pic soon enough but I will try to descibe this clam in the mean time:

1. About 2 1/2 inches long it had Zoas growing on it at one point!
2. Brown hard Sheel can't tell if their is designs on it because of the Zoas that used to live on it's back are covering up what designs it used to have.
3. When I am able to look into it because it hasen't open fully I can see that it's all white inside but the tentacle's or what ever it has is colored brown?? I guess the trime of it is brown??
4. I have never owned a clam before so I have no idea what it eats??? suggestions people???
5. I will send pics soon!!!
6. I need a beer.

maybe a baby derasa clam or other type of brown clam... definitely need a pic to be sure... but you can supplement your tank with DTs phytoplankton until he reaches around 3 inches or so just to be safe... BUT if you do not get him out of the tank until after the tank cycles he will die for sure. Maybe you can ask a friend or your LFS to hold onto it for you until you finish your cycle in a couple of weeks or so.
