Do you have a little pump in that kalk bucket? How exactly do you have it setup? Looks sweet. Keep the pics coming..

Hello Tattoo,

I actually learned that tecnique here at RC I believe that I first saw it done on Sidewinders and then a few others... It does make for a very nice backdrop Thank You for the interest... Just ask if you have any other questions as I am always glad to help

Danskim... Yes I was excited about the rockwork, My wife initially hated it until it went up and blended so nicely with all of the woodworking plus the faux shells and stuff are nice touches

Thank you

Butttons... Oh I love to hear that others like the arch also it took alot to build and wieghs over 200lbs just the one arch LOL But the fish just love it and I have been having fun "Propagating" it.

BigD what a Powerful compliment! Thank You! I bought my Mother a 12 gal. pod and she loves it! I just sent her a matched pair of Black and white clowns for it

How did you connect the live rock?
Also how did you get it into the tank safely?

The live rock had been curing in another tank and being collected slowley for about 18 months... I knew that I wanted at least one VERY large arch so I laid out cardboard and started selecting the right pieces... it took about 4-5 to make the initial upside down "J" "Skeleton" and this "J" wieghed right at 110lbs..Because of wieght I went ahead and placed this first arch. My sons helped me lower it in, it was all conected with Aqua stick a fiberglass based 2 part epoxy putty... and then I added about another 100lbs supporting rock onto the sides (to make it look natural and strong, fill in holes) around the base and at the top to connect into the other ongoing rockwork... I liked it all so much I went ahead and built another smaller arch on the other side of the tank also

Hello Everyone...

Ok I am sorry so long without any updates.. I have been so very busy this summer with family and such... I took a few pics today just to keep you all interested... The tank is still young so forgive the splotches of algea here and there... Still tuning a few dosers up I have added a really really large school of Green Chromis... about 24 alive right now...

I had a bad batch of 6 Very large carpet anemones come in They died off in a connected frag/prop tank and by the time that I got them out I had an out break.. what you see now is 3 water changes later... OMG they were gorgeous though NEON Blue and purple and the size of a diner plate

Yes Erics I was going to get a close up shot... the Coralline is already encrusing the walls
