Please Help!

I bought a new clam today and I am trying to get it to get it to attatch to a rock. I have tried 2 differant rocks and he keeps falling off. The rocks are nice and flat. I know it takes time for them to attach, but he can't attach if he keeps falling off.

I think what happens is when he closes up it makes him tumble. Currently I have him in my sandbed. I would like him on a rock so I can move him around. I want to make sure he is able to get plenty of light.

Please help!!

The method that most folks recommend is to bury a flat rock just under the sand and then put the clam in the sand over the rock so that its supported by the sand but touching the rock and then wait a couple of months. I am new to this but it seemed to work with mine in less time.

Nitroq2's method works. You can also suround it with small rubble rock and when it finds a place it likes it will anchor its foot to the rock.
