Question for 55 gal owners

I have a standard 55g with some soft corals.

How do you arrange your tank for best flow?

I have had a hard time with detritus settling. I have had my hang on overflow on the end of the tank since my 20g long sump won't fit under my stand. I am thinking of arranging things so I can move the overflow to the middle of the tank so there's not such a great distance for detritus to travel. I'm also planning on getting a couple Koralia to help get things moving.

Would a bigger overflow help? I currently have a 300 gph overflow.

Thanks!
