Hammer Coral didnt enjoy Xmas break!
So I'm having a hammer problem and I have a couple of questions.
I got back from my xmas vacation today and my once beautiful hammer is dying. Its almost completely retracted, pale and the tentacles are kind of flopping out of the heads about a 1/4 inch (I'd take a pic but my cam is broken at the moment). I checked all of my parameters and my Alk was low at 1.5meq/l. All of my other parameters were ok. I've started a drip to get the alk back up but I'm worried. Is there anything else I can do to help it out? And is a low alk over a 2 week period enough to cause a hammer to start to die? Here are my parameters: Temp: 82 Ph: 8.16 Salinity: 1.025 Nitrates: 0 Phospates: 0 Calcium: 540 Alk 1.5 meq/l Thanks

Most likely low alk that did it. I hope it pulls through for you.
