are there any blue clams that will survive at the bottom of an AP12 under a 70 watt 14k Metal Halide

your biggest problem will be keeping your parmaters stable in such a small tank.

they seem to stay pretty stable.. they have fluctuated at all really since the tank cycled

I had one of those lamps and it is rather dim compared to higher wattage halide...
I wouldn't do it. I could not even get most sps to grow under that lamp (only montipora digitata). Are you keeping sps now? I would not do a clam until you've proven to yourself you can grow sps under that lamp. -A

I agreee with newreeflady and most tanks need to be at least 6 months old before adding clams
