Dav, wish i could help.... but 6hrs drive is a bit too much for me. Consider i spent good 4hrs on the road daily. I would like to take a little break in the weekend... Hey, i am looking forward to see it up and running and hopefully the egg crates will find it way out of your system... It hurts to see egg crakes in such a beautiful tank. If ya know what im talking about......

A hug would be nice. I promise to get some pix. I've been doing some shopping lately, mostly some nice rainbow acans - but I recently picked up a pair of Halocanthus Africanus, some African Angels - I picked the two smallest I could get, they are stunning fish. I see the colors dull in a couple years but they are stunning now. Hopefully they make it, they acclimated well but I haven't fed them. I don't know if I'll be able to keep them together in the same tank, but they are very small and most my fish are bigger (but peaceful) so I think I'll be OK for a little bit.

David,

How do you like your Biotopus II Controller? Is this controller accept dynamic IP or only static IP for remote access?

Thanks in advance.

Hey man - I love the B2. I do not know about #2. SMS was more important to me. I can call in to get my params 24/7, and immediate alerts if anything goes wrong.

I'm leaving for a couple days, thought I'd throw up some pix of my new Angels. Beautiful fish, they seem very healthy.

The sump rocks. It is perfect for the tank. The top-off holds probably about 15G of water - and Elos drilled it with bulkheads/adjustable valves so you can even use it for a fuge. Its actually big enough to use as frag tank. Not sure how I will ultimately use it.

I've had a few personal setbacks (nothing too serious, just un-fun life stuff) and have not had time for my tank/internet the last few weeks. Fortunately, everything is working great and corals are all doing fine. I got rid of most of my Vortechs and went back to Tunze. I like VT's but they just didn't work for me for what I was trying to accomplish. Bill Calvin talked me into a Wavebox so thats coming soon. Cyano is 90% gone with the added flow. Due to the untimely events though - I'm moving all my SPS over to a 55G temporary setup while I finish getting the 210 flawless.

The Geotronic is the bomb. It keeps my tank very steady. It kicked off twice in the first two days but has not failed since. There is a buzzing coming from the power supply but Finsreef is replacing it. A little pricey but so worth it - if it ever cools off here, the heating element will start up soon.

I also have three skimmers right now. I had the H&S 1x1260 and replaced it with the H&S 2x1260. Incredible skimmer but I have to make adjustments for it to fit. A few weeks ago crazydiver took his tank down and had a brand new Elos NS4000 - it this thing freakin rocks. When life turns around, hopefully after Turkey Day Weekend - I'll get pix of them in action.

Sorry to those who I have things pending with - or if I haven't gotten to question/PM's. I'll make good on everything, and then some.

Hope all is well with all my reefing friends!

David

welcome back david. i was wondering where you went. I had a feeling you would go back to tunze especially after talking with you about which one would be better. I chose Tunze also. I got another one coming in next week.

your Geotronic looks interesting, can't seem to find any specs on it, do they rate them on temp pull down power like chillers?
